1911: Arthur trained at the Royal Naval Training Establishment Shotley Near Ipswich.

1920: Married Mabel Harris Portsmouth. 

1938: Rose to Rank of Lieutenant passing away 25th September from Heart Failure at St Peters Hospital London.

Private (Lance Corporal) 16696 York and Lancaster Regiment Died of Wounds 30/09/1918 Aged 25.

 

1893: Born Trimdon Durham.

1911: Residence No 32 Cemetery Road Beeston Hill Occupation Grocer Assistant.

1914: Enlisted Leeds 19th September, Described as Being 5 Deet 10 Inches Tall Hazel Eyes with Brown Hair.

1915: Landed France 27th August.

1916: Received Gun Shot Wound to the Back 07th July.

1917: On the 6th October suffered from sever Gas Poisoning.

1917: Granted leave 28th November until 8th December Residence No 32 Cemetery Road Beeston Hill.

1919: Personal effects sent to Mother Jane Ann including, Wallett, Postcards, Photos,Letters.

1911: Serving in 18th Hussars based at Aliwal Military Barracks Aliwal Barracks South Tidworth Hampshire.

1914: Boarded Southampton 15th August Landed Bolougne France Part of the Original British Expeditionary Force 12 days after the outbreak of war on the 16th August.

CWGC: Parents Residence No 38 Tilbury Mount Elland Road Holbeck.
